Richard (Dick) Bettencourt, age 80, of West Bridgewater, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday morning October 18th, 2022. He was a kind man who was there to help all who asked for it. He was a friend of Bill for 49 years.

Richard was born and raised in West Bridgewater, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Donnell) Bettencourt. He was married to Nancy (Lindskog) for many years. He was the brother of Joseph and Claire Bettencourt and the late John Bettencourt.

Richard is survived by his children Deborah Burns and her husband Gary of Randolph, Linda Berolini and her husband Joseph of Brockton, Steven Bettencourt and his wife Jayne of Plymouth and the late Richard Bettencourt Jr. He was the grandfather of Jason Phair and his wife Jenny, Christina Guinta, Jared Gilman and his wife Cadence, Julie Arguello-Erving and her husband Tony, Gabrielle Gilman and the late Stephen Erving. He was gramps to many loving great grandchildren.

Richard was an avid Boston sports fan and loved watching the grands play hockey.

Funeral Service in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 S. Main St., (Rt.28) West Bridgewater on Saturday, October 22nd at 12:00 PM. Calling hours in the funeral home on Saturday, October 22nd from 10:00AM -12:00 PM. A private cremation to follow.
