Obituary

Richard H. Breen, Sr., 79 years, of Brockton, died June 25, 2008 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. Born, raised and educated in Boston, he was the son of the late George and Muriel (Lamb) Breen. He was the husband for 52 years of Eileen M. (Latta) Breen; father of Richard Breen Jr. and his wife Donna of Westford, MA, Timothy Breen and his wife Nancy of Hampton, NH, Ellen Engelhardt and her husband Paul of Raynham, Elizabeth McAuliffe and her husband David of Raynham and Michael Breen of Fall River; grandfather of 16; brother of William Breen of Kalispell, Montana, cousin of Sue Wolverton and her husband Richard of Winthrop and uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of WWII who served with the US Marine Corps and had been employed for 31 years as a driver for the Brockton Area Transit Company.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 4-7pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm. Graveside Service Monday at 2:30pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
