Lessard of Brockton unexpectedly June 4, 2004 Richard D. “Dick” Lessard 63 years. Husband of Kathleen H. (Fitzmaurice) Lessard. Father of Richard J. Lessard of Brockton; Carolyn M. Lessard of Virginia and Peter D. Lessard of Providence, RI. Grandfather of Jonathan M. Lessard. Nephew of Ruth and Alphonse Cerce of Marshfield.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 10 - 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations in Dick’s memory may be made to BAARC (Brockton Area Association for Retarded Citizens) 1250 W. Chestnut St., Brockton, MA 02301.

Obituary

Mr. Lessard died Friday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after being stricken ill at his home. He was born in Brockton son of the late Leon and Mary (Gareau) Lessard and remained a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1958.

Mr. Lessard retired from the shoe industry in Brockton having worked at Foot Joy Shoe and International Sole and Leather.

He was a member of the Vega Club and a former member of the Enterprise Club.

In addition to his wife Kathleen H. (Fitzmaurice) Lessard he is survived by three children Richard J. Lessard of Brockton; Carolyn M. Lessard of Virginia and Peter D. Lessard of Providence, RI. He was the grandfather of Jonathan M. Lessard and nephew of Ruth and Alphonse Cerce of Marshfield.He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousinsHe was the brother of the late Edward and Roland Lessard
