Richard P. Elder Richard P. Elder , 51, of Brockton, died Monday, December 7, 2009 at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. He was the loving companion of Mabelene Hilts of Brockton. Born August 8, 1958 in Boston, he was the son of the late Donald D. Elder and Margaret P. (Purcell) Elder. Raised in Brockton, he attended Brockton Schools. Richard worked as a warehouse supervisor for Berman Sons for over 20 years. He enjoyed relaxing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his love of his life for over 20 years, Mabelene Hilts of Brockton; his Sister, Lisa Rolak and her husband Charles of Brockton; his brother, Donald P. Elder, II of Texas; he is also the great Papa to 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral Information Following cremation, a Memorial gathering will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, December 11th from 11:00-12:00PM followed by a prayer service at 12:00PM.
