Obituary

Richard B. “Rick” Fayles, Jr. age 59 of Taunton, died unexpectedly Sunday October 10, 2021 after suffering a heart attack. He was the devoted husband of Lisa A. (Gullbrants) Fayles.

Rick was born in Boston and raised in Hyde Park, a son of the late Dorothy (Kazukonis) and Richard B. Fayles, Sr. After graduation from Hyde Park High School in 1981, Rick joined the US Marine Corps. Before living in Taunton, Rick had lived for many years in Centerville.

For many years, Rick was an employee of BJ’s in Stoughton. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and loved family gatherings. He was most proud of his wife, family and being a Marine.

Rick was the brother of Michael Fayles and his wife Kathy of Foxboro, John Fayles of Melbourne, Florida and the late William Fayles of Hyde Park. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and was the son-in-law of Karl and Nancy Gullbrants of Brockton.

Visiting hours will be held at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Tuesday October 19, 2021 from 4 to 7pm. Graveside services with military honors will be held at the Mass National Cemetery on Wednesday morning at 10:30 am.
