Obituary

Richard W. Haynes, age 61, of Brockton, died on December 9, 2024 at Brockton Hospital following a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Charles and Ursula (Bloeck) Haynes.

A lifelong resident of Brockton, Richard was a graduate of Brockton High School and for over 30 years was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Brockton Multi Services Center.

Richard was devoted to his family. He loved all animals, especially his dog Rosie. He was also a Boston Bruins fan and an avid reader.

Richard is survived by his Brockton family that faithfully provided him care over the years, including his sister Karin Haynes, his nephew Christopher Haynes and his sister-in-law Linda Haynes. Richard is also survived by his sister Patricia Brasslow and his nephew Jared Brasslow of Maine. He was the brother of the late Ronald Haynes and nephew of the late Richard and Elsbeth (Bloeck) Carvelli.
