Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church, Brockton at 9 AM. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-7 PM. Donations in his Memory may be made to Brockton Visiting Nurses Assoc., 500 Belmont St.,Brockton, MA 02301.
OBITUARY
Mr. Knapp died Thursday in the Norwood Hospital, Norwood after being stricken earlier in his home in Canton. Born in Brockton, the son of the late Warren S. and M. Eva (O’Leary) Knapp, he had been a resident of Canton for 44 years. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1942 and a graduate of Northeastern University, Boston. During WW II he served in the US Navy as a Ltjg. in the Pacific Theater aboard an LST. Before his retirement he had been employed as a civil engineer by the Commonwealth of Mass in the Public Health Dept. in Boston.While a resident of Brockton he was a Communicant of St. Margaret Church. He is survived by his wife Eleanore J. (MacKinnon) Knapp A daughter Sandra L. Myles of Raynham A son Douglas R. Knapp of Raynham 6 grandchildren He was the brother of the late Phyllis Heery
