Obituary

Richard R. LaBelle, age 80 of Brockton, died Friday October 23, 2015 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia A. (Gustafson) LaBelle. Richard was born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late Raymond and Rosa (LaBelle) LaBelle and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
Richard retired from the Brockton Housing Authority after many years of service. Previously he had worked at Foot Joy Shoe and Howard Johnson in Brockton.
Richard was an extremely private and modest man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He was an avid golfer and loved all sports. He will be remembered as a great cook and singer.
Richard was the brother of Jeannette Kelleher of Maine and the late Lorraine Gustafson and Doris Asci. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 8am for a funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 9am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
