Obituary

Richard J. Linehan, Sr.,84, of Allston-Brighton, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the

Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in North Easton. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (McDonnell) Linehan.

Born in Boston on July 11, 1939, he was the son of the late James G. and Catherine (Keene) Linehan.

He served his country honorably as member of the United States Army and Air Force.

Richard retired from General Motors Framingham as an Assembly Line worker. He was a dedicated husband and family man. He sacrificed so that his children could have opportunities, success, and stability. He exposed his family to experiences, natural and historic places, museums, theater and constantly sought the greater good. He encouraged his children to seek knowledge and wisdom. He was a deeply reflective and introspective man who garnered the love and respect of all who knew him.

Richard enjoyed "The Sport of Kings"- horse racing - history, poetry, spending time at the lake,

flying kites, listening to birds while drinking his coffee, and especially spending time with his

grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Richard Linehan, Jr. and his wife Ann Marie, the late Sandra Linehan, the Late James

Linehan, Brenda Leadbetter and her husband Brian and Gary Linehan and his wife Jessica; his grandchildren Kevin, Ryan,

Elizabeth, Rebekah, Abigail, Rachel, James, Jr., Keith, Kacey, Kristin, Katelyn, Karyn, Owen and Erin; great-grandchildren, Griffin, Siena, Olivia, the late Victoria, Ryan, Jr., Amelia, Cameron, Alicia, Olivia, Logan, Gavin, Sebastian, Luca, Keith, Jr; his great-great grandchild Rosalie

A memorial mass will be held in St. Anthony Parish, 43 Holton St., Allston on Wednesday, June19th at 10:00AM

followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
