Online Obituaries Richard A. Meloro, 78, of West Bridgewater formerly of Brockton, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Hefler) Meloro. Born November 26, 1934 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Antonio Meloro and Mary (Tonelli) Meloro. He was a graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School in 1952 and Stonehill College in 1956 where he was a very good baseball player for both schools. Richard was a retired accountant where he worked for Brace Company in Avon for 20 years. He lived most of his life in Brockton and was devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife, Joan (Hefler) Meloro; his children, Gale Schmidt and her husband Jeff of Kentucky, Stacie Porter of Florida, Todd Ryan and his wife Dawn Marie of Halifax and Anthony Meloro and his wife Bobbi of Virginia; he is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend, Dr. Francis Freccero. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, February 28th at 9:30AM thence to St. Ann Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 11:00AM.
