Richard W. Perry Sept. 25, 1955 – June 8, 2022 Richard "Rick" Perry, formerly of Whitman, MA, and long-time resident of Naples, FL passed away on Wednesday June 8 after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Rick is survived by his son, Kyle Poirier Perry of Naples, and his sisters Susan Kent of Naples, Janice Ketchen of Martha's Vineyard, Debra Villano of Middleboro, MAa and Lisa Cassani of Lakeville, MA. He was the son of the late Anna Casieri Perry and Malcolm "Buzz" Perry of Whitman. He was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews and a beloved friend to many. Rick grew up in Whitman and attended Whitman schools and Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. He was a life-long fan of Boston sports teams, an avid golfer, a lover of all things Naples, and an extraordinary cook who loved to prepare meals for friends and family. Rick was a former restaurant manager in downtown Naples, and for the past several years was the Executive Chef and Dining Services Director of Merrill Gardens assisted living facility in Fort Myers, FL. Rick will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Burial will be private. Remembrance donations may be made to The Jimmy Fund.
