Richard J. Ransom
Richard J. "Ric" Ransom, 61, of Brockton died suddenly Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Janet E. (Belcher) Ransom.
Born January 16, 1951 in Boston, he was a son of Joseph D. Ransom and the late Elizabeth A. (Leavitt) Ransom. Raised in Milton, Ric worked as a welder. He will be remembered for his love of photography, the guitar, cross-word puzzles, camping as well as his love for friends and family and his devotion to the Beatles. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife Janet E. Ransom; his children, Mark of West Hartford, CT and Joanna of Randolph; his father Joseph D. Ransom; his brother Dennis Ransom of Charlotte, N.C. He is also survived by his nieces, Eleanor (Belcher) Palombizio, Jennifer Belcher, Sarah Ransom; his great nephew, Sebastiano Palombizio and his surrogate brother Richard Griffin.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 8:00AM thence to St. Patrick Church, 335 Main St., Brockton where a funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton. Calling hours Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 4-8PM.
