Online Obituaries Richard H. Dickie Smith, 71, of Brockton, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Anne P. (Kelley) Smith for 51 years. Born December 3, 1942 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Howard Smith and Gertrude (Dean) Smith. A lifelong Brockton resident, he graduated from Brockton High School. Dickie was a Union Plumber and then a Craftsman Plumber for the Brockton Public School System Local #276 for several years. Dickie enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and when he wasnt with them he loved spending time at his cottage in Buzzards Bay and his garage. He also enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Anne P. (Kelley) Smith; his children, Brian D. Smith and his wife Corene of Marshfield, Juli A. Caldwell and her significant other Bill Carpenter of Brockton, Richard H. Dickie Smith, Jr. and his wife Kellie of Bridgewater and Mark C. Smith of Brockton; his grandchildren, Christine Caldwell, Stephanie Caldwell, Sean Caldwell, Kylee Smith, Dylan Smith, Marky Smith, Justin Smith, Jordan Smith and Emma Smith; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Howard F. Smith, Anna May Brides, Barbara Anderson, Donald Smith, David B. Smith and Beverly A. Decocq and Robert D. Smith. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, May 22nd at 9:30AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:30AM.
