Richard Spadea
Richard A. Spadea, 63, of Hemet, California, formerly of Brockton, died Monday, July 9, 2007 after a period of failing health in San Bernardino, California. He was the husband of Barbara (Corkum) Spadea.
Born May 3, 1944 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Frank Spadea and Julia (Garcea) Spadea. He lived in Brockton for most of his life, spending the last six years in California. He was a retired maintenance worker for the Brockton Housing Authority where he worked for 20 years.
He enjoyed golf and bowling. He once bowled a perfect game. He was also an avid Boston sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Corkum) Spadea of Hemet, California; his stepchildren, Char Parker and Pam McKeown, both of California; his grandchildren, Monet Parker and Taelor Parker, both of California; his siblings, Joseph Spadea of West Bridgewater; Domenick Spadea and his wife Nancy of Brockton, Francis Spadea and his wife Lynda of Brockton, John Spadea and his wife Lori of Brewster; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton on Thursday, July 19th at 8:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edwards Church. 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday evening 5:00PM-8:00PM.
