Richard J. Stadelmann
, 69, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at West Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Patricia (McCuddy) Stadelmann.
Born September 3, 1940 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Joseph P. Stadelmann and Marguerite (Carroll) Stadelmann. Raised in Brockton he graduated from Brockton High School in 1958 and attended Franklin Institute.
He was co-owner of Stadelmann Electric of Brockton for many years, and more recently with Central Electrical Specialty Corp. Richard also served with the National Guard in Brockton.
He was on the executive board of the Cape and Islands Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and a member of the South Shore Electrical Contractors Association.
Richard enjoyed antique autos, especially his 1956 Buick Roadmaster. He was a member of the Buick Club of America.
He is survived by his 3 children, Richard Stadelmann and his wife Donna of Peterboro, New Hampshire, Maura Larkin and her husband Timothy of Jackson, New Jersey and John Stadelmann and his wife Deborah of Pleasant Valley, Connecticut; he was the grandfather of Nicholas, Alex, Benjamin, Elan and Auguste Stadelmann, and the late Kiera Larkin, the love of his life. He was the brother of William Stadelmann and his wife Geraldine of Brockton, Marguerite Auger of Manomet and the late George and Carroll Stadelmann. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Judy Whitaker of Dedham.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, February 15th at 8:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edward's Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Private Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Boston on Tuesday. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Sunday 2:00-6:00PM.
Following the funeral mass, Richard's family would like to invite everyone back to Thorny Lea Golf Club, 159 Torrey St., Brockton.
