Obituary

Richard C. "Dick" Williams, 74, of West Bridgewater, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his home in West Bridgewater. He was the husband of Patricia Ann (Crowley) Williams for 52 years. Born September 1, 1943 in Weymouth, he was the son of the late John E. Williams, Jr. and Dorothy A. (Anderson) Williams. Raised in Whitman, Dick attended Whitman Schools. Dick was the owner of Dick Williams & Son Construction Company of West Bridgewater for 35 years prior to that he worked for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 424. Dick was very involved in the West Bridgewater Community, he lived on Crescent Street for 52 years. He was very involved in the West Bridgewater Youth Athletic Association, the West Bridgewater Housing Authority and the West Bridgewater Lions Club. He was a lifetime member of the East Bridgewater Commercial Club where he was famous for cooking his prime rib dinners. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kathleen T. Williams of West Bridgewater and Brian R. Williams of Plymouth; his grandson, Joey Williams; his siblings, Tom Williams of East Bridgewater, Jack Williams of Arizona and Jean Williams of New Hampshire; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the father of his first-born son, the late Richard C. "Ricky" Williams and the brother of the late Beverly Foster. Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Thursday, August 16th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00PM.
