Rita P. (Condon) Cronin Rita P. (Condon) Cronin , of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a brief illness following hip replacement surgery at age 91. She was the loving wife of the late D. Leo Cronin. Born September 3, 1918 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Condon and Margaret (Hallisey) Condon. A life-long Brockton resident, Rita was a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1936. When her sons were enrolled at St. Patrick's Parochial School, Rita was employed as a food server and later became a homemaker for the remainder of her life. An avid sports fan, she could often predict the outcomes of various sporting events better than most well-paid sports writers. Rita was most proud that all nine of her grandchildren graduated from private colleges and have grown to become productive adults. She took great pleasure in her extended family and friends. Rita is survived by her sons, Dennis Cronin and his wife Patricia of Wisconsin, John Cronin (Retired Brockton Fire Dept.) and his wife Alice of Raynham and Thomas Cronin of Brockton; her grandchildren, Anne Marie Gordon of Whitman, Kate Buhagiar of CA, Elizabeth Cronin Spearin of Taunton, Maureen Cronin, Sean Cronin, Michael Cronin all of Raynham, Katie Cronin, Thomas Cronin and Mary Cronin all of Brockton; her great grandchildren, Kaileigh Gordon, Kyle Gordon, Leo Buhagiar, Dylan Cronin and Jacob Spearin; her sisters, Helen Lemieux of Duxbury and Mary Ackerman of Kingston; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Katherine Giles and Thomas Condon. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday at 8:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish (St. Colman Church), 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM.
