Online Obituaries Rita (Mcguire) Spirida, 94, of Brockton, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Guardian Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Edward Spirida. Born January 20, 1920 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late John J. Mcguire and Clara M. (McVay) Mcguire. Rita loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved greatly by many. She is survived by her children, Joyce Fitch and her husband Russell, Lillian Haskell and her husband William, Sr., Mary Sharkey and her husband Norman, Diane Maddigan and her husband James, Edwina Simmons and her husband Rodney, Sr., Malia Casey and her husband Peter, Hope Medarios and the late Veronica Lee; her sister, Lillian Sabin; she is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeacesed by other siblings. Funeral Information Funeral services in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday at 9:00AM.
