Robert (Bob) William Bamford, Age 79, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his home in Brockton surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 29th, 1942, in Brockton, MA, to Elin and William Bamford. Bob was a lifelong Brockton resident, graduated from Brockton High in 1960. After high school, he married Dianne Bolster of Brockton and worked at Wanamakers Bakery in Brockton as a baker.
He worked his way through the industry and became the regional manager for the Fernandes Supermarket Bakery's and later the ingredient technologist for The Ogan Company which was renamed Bake-N-Joy. He retired at the age of sixty (60) and worked part time for Bak-N-Joy and his friends who owned various company's throughout the world.
He traveled the globe teaching, problem solving and designing baking formulas and was renowned in the baking industry for the guy to call when a baking formula wasn't working. He loved to fish, split wood, cook and bake and be with his family.
He recently celebrated his 61st wedding anniversary with his wife, his one and only love, Dianne. Bob, attended Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Brockton and was a former President and member of the Vega Club and a member of the Masonic Temple of Masons in Brockton MA. He volunteered and donated to many organizations whenever needed.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elin (Johnson) Bamford; and his grandparents, Bernard and Ada Johnson and Ernest and Francis Bamford. Bob is survived by his wife Dianne; his brother Paul (deceased) and sister-in-law Arlene Bamford; his sister Patricia and her husband Kevin Alles of Brockton; his sons Paul of Brockton, Mark (deceased) and his wife Noreen of Brockton, Scott and his wife Robyn of Easton, Donald of Brockton and Brian of Randolph. He is also survived by; grandchildren and great grandchildren; Shawn, Joshua, Michelle, Brendan, Alicia, Cassidy, Erin, Alex, Samantha, Max, Kelsie, Alyssa, Eric, Julian, Nathan, Evan and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday at 11:30AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00-8:00PM.

The Family is having a gathering of friends and family to Bob's house at 19 Rosemary Street, Brockton, MA, to eat, drink and celebrate his life after the burial services.
