Baxley of Brockton, April 1, 2006 Robert D. Baxley 70 years, Husband of the late Patricia (Mullen) Baxley, Beloved father of Linda Baldwin of Quincy, Robert D. Jr., Patricia Rose, Sharon Stande all of Brockton and Michael J. of Bridgewater. Also survived by 15 grand and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish , St. Colman Church at 9am. Burial in Mt Prospect Cemetery Bridgewater. Visiting hours Monday 5-8.

Robert died comfortably Saturday morning in the Veterans Hospital in West Roxbury after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Archie T. and Ruth H. (Bean) Baxley. Robert was born in New London Ct October 19, 1935, but raised in the Boston area before moving to Brockton more than 40 years ago.
Robert was a Bartender and Manager for many years in several establishments in the Brockton area. He was a US Army veteran and a proud member of the Amvets, Randolph Chapter. Robert will be most remembered for his great love of Baseball but most especially the Red Sox.
