Robert C. "Bob" Arrighi, 51, of Bridgewater, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bridgewater on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Heather J. (Thomson) Arrighi. Born in Brockton on January 31, 1968, Bob was the son of Charles Arrighi and Marian D. (Martynowski) Arrighi. Raised in Bridgewater on Starr Road with his three siblings, he graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham High School. He played four years of Varsity soccer and was named All League all four years and named All-scholastic in his junior and senior year. He also was a very talented basketball player having started for the varsity team as Captain where he was a dynamic scoring threat and ferocious rebounder. Bob was a Probation Officer for over 18 years, working in Brockton District Court until re-locating to Wareham District Court 2 years ago. Before becoming a Probation Officer, he spent six years as a Recreation Officer at the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. Bob was a certified basketball official, softball umpire, Brockton youth soccer & T-Ball coach, and a soccer coach at Cardinal Spellman High School. During his wonderful years at Massasoit, he helped the soccer team win the National Junior College Athletic Association title in 1987, as the Warriors' goalie. This team was inducted into the Massasoit Hall of Fame. During that winning season, he had an impressive 14 shutout games. He also played semi-pro soccer for the Taunton Eagles. As an avid sportsman, he loved nothing more than catching for his "cannon arm" daughter Gabby or cheering on his son when he played football at Cardinal Spellman High School. Bob was a fan of all four major Boston sports teams, but especially the Patriots and Bruins. He also thoroughly enjoyed traveling to different pro sports stadiums across the country with his cousin Scott Fay. One of his fondest memories was attending the 1998 Super Bowl in Jacksonville, FL. Bob enjoyed ice fishing with friends, and especially his son Brendan. Together they infamously caught a state pin sized pickerel from the Salisbury River in Brockton that made local headlines. Bob was also a dedicated follower of the stock market and politics and was often found enjoying the morning paper over a cup of coffee. He was a long-time member of both the Brockton and East Bridgewater YMCAs where he loved to socialize with other members and friends. Bob is survived by his wife, Heather J.
