Obituary

Robert J. Cotter of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Plymouth and Abington, Mass died September 14, 2016 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Pamela (Johnson) Cotter.

Robert was born in Brockton and raised in Abington, a son of the late Cornelius and Eleanor (McKenna) Cotter. He had served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was the brother of Edward “Ted” Cotter and his wife Mary Jane of Brockton, Jane Cannon and her husband Scott of Northboro and the late Paul Cotter. He was the uncle of Coleen Cotter, Cathy Mason, Mark and Shannan Cotter and Matthew and Meghan Cannon, and brother in law of Patti Cotter.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Friday, September 30, from 9-10am followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 10:30 am. Burial in the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne.
