Robert A. "Bob" Desreuisseau 82, of Bridgewater passed away December 20, 2024 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Karen E. (Tranmer) Desreuisseau for 56 years.
Bob was born in Plymouth in 1942 to Edward Desreuisseau and Angelina (Lenzi) Almeida. He attended local schools and graduated from Plymouth High School. After graduating he then joined the U.S. Air Force.
He was the owner of M.B. Auto Glass as well as co-owner of Bridgewater Auto Body.
Bob was an avid golfer and loved traveling to Florida. He also enjoyed skiing at Sunday River in Maine and camping at Nauset Beach. He especially loved his family, his garden and his dog Jax. He was a member of the American Legion and the Portuguese Holy Ghost Society of Bridgewater.
In addition to his wife Karen and his mother Angelina, Bob is survived by his son Robert A. Desreuisseau Jr. and his wife Kristen of Plymouth, his daughter Debra J. McGlone and her husband Shayne of Kingston ,his son Ryan C. Desreuisseau of Bridgewater and, his grandchildren Emily Murray and her husband Dylan, Sydney McGlone and Jeremy McGlone. He also leaves his sister Sandra Carvalho and her husband Richard of Florida, his brother Vance Almeida and his wife Joanne of Plymouth, his brother Steven Almeida and his wife Carol of Plymouth and his nephews, nieces and many friends. Bob was predeceased by his father, stepfather, his brother Edward Desreuisseau of Manomet and his brother Dennis Desreuisseau of Florida.
Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul on Friday, January 17th at 10:00AM in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater at 10:00AM. Interment will take place at a later date in Mount Prospect Cemetery.
