Online Obituaries Robert D. Ferrini, 82, of Brockton and Fairhaven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at his home after a short period of failing health. He was the devoted husband of Eleanor (Tonelli) Ferrini for over 60 years. Born January 9, 1932 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Ralph Ferrini and Iola (DiSalle) Ferrini. He was a graduate of Brockton High School in 1949 and then from Brown University in 1953. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. Robert worked in the petroleum industry for over 40 years until his retirement. Aside from spending time with family and friends in Fairhaven, he enjoyed watching sports,traveling, and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Tonelli) Ferrini of Brockton; his children, Jan Ferrini Giles and her husband Michael of Oregon and Robert D. Ferrini, Jr. of Brockton; his brother, Richard Ferrini and his wife Gwendolyn of NH; his sister-in-laws, Geraldine and Rose Cummings both of Brockton; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. Funeral Information A graveside funeral service will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater on Saturday, July 12th at 10:15AM. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00-7:00PM.
