After a long and valiant battle, Robert Galvani died peacefully at home in Falmouth, Massachusetts on Sunday, April 28th.

Bob was born to Mary and Joseph Galvani of Brockton, MA. He leaves behind Ruth, his loving wife of 44 years, his beloved daughter Marissa and many close family members of both the Galvani and O'Neil families.

Bob is a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School where he developed many lifelong friendships. He continued his education at The University of Massachusetts, Boston where he earned a degree in psychology.

He had a lifelong career in property management and was owner of Classic Cutters Hair Salon in Brockton along with his wife Ruth.

Bob was more than just an avid boater, he was and forever will be remembered as "Captain Bob". He loved spending time with family and friends on Cape Cod and the islands and cherished his annual trips to Florida to visit his cousins.

Bob was a kind and giving man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to everyone who came into his life. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Bob was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia in 2018 and underwent a stem cell transplant the following year. He had the privilege of being treated by Dr. David Avigan and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to Dr. Avigan's Cancer Immunotherapy Research at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, or to Be The Match.

Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (Rt105) Lakeville on Saturday, May 4th from 11:00AM-1:00PM followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 1:00PM.  Private interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plymouth.
