Robert Francis Jenkinson Jr., a longtime resident of Halifax, MA, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Robert was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He found great joy in the simple things in life, especially spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. He was a skilled and hardworking Master Plumber, a profession he took great pride in throughout his career. Those who knew him will remember his strong spirit, hardworking nature, love of the outdoors, and, most importantly, the love he had for his family.

Robert bravely fought a rare form of cancer, Merkel cell carcinoma, with strength and courage. Throughout his illness, he remained surrounded by the love and support of his family.

Robert was predeceased by his beloved parents, Nanette (Tantillo) Jenkinson and Robert F. Jenkinson.

He is survived by his former wife and lifelong family friend, Cecilia Anne Jenkinson, and his four daughters: Stephanie and her spouse, Richard Duncan, of Hanson, MA; Suzanne and her husband, Thomas Perkins, of Halifax, MA; Nanette and her husband, Adam Smith, of Pembroke, MA; and Lorena and her spouse, James Chaplic, of Laconia, NH.

He is also survived by his siblings: Jean Saniuk of Braintree, MA; Margaret Pacella of Hanover, MA; Kathryn Jenkinson of Revere, MA; Debra Gifford of Little River, SC; Nanette Kenney of Tyngsboro, MA; and William Jenkinson of Danvers, MA.

Robert was a proud grandfather to Brian Jenkinson; Mariah, Tayla, and Brianna Vinal; Adison Smith; and Sasha and Grigori Chaplic. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy and added another special generation to the family he loved so dearly.

He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Robert’s greatest legacy will be the family he loved so deeply. The memories made around the water, in the woods, and gathered together as a family will be treasured forever.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and all those who knew and loved him.

His funeral service will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation prior to the service will be from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery, Halifax, MA.

There will be a luncheon following the burial at The Meadowbrook Restaurant, 1486 Main Street, Hanson, MA.
