Obituary

Robert G. Masefield, age 82, of West Bridgewater, died October 8, 2018, at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Bob was the loving husband for 37 years of Christine M. (Lucas) Masefield. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late George and Helen (LaVigne) Masefield. Bob was a 1954 graduate of Brockton High School and had been employed for 54 years by Columbia Electric Supply, retiring in 2007. He was an avid fisherman, and spent many hours saltwater fishing in Little River Harbor in Falmouth and freshwater fishing in Vermont and Maine. For the past four years Bob had been a member of the Bridgewater VFW.

In addition to his wife Chris, Bob is survived by a brother John Masefield and his wife Ginny of Halifax and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Carol Ann George.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday, October 14, 11am-1pm followed by a Funeral Service at 1pm. Please consider donations in Bob’s name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
