Robert "Bob" W. Nordgren, born and raised in West Bridgewater, passed away on January 9th at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in and lived his entire life in West Bridgewater. Beloved husband of Mary (DelSignor) loving father to Patricia (Patricelli) Fandrich and her husband Otto of Bridgewater, Pamela Patricelli of Avon, Debra (Patricelli) Derochea of West Bridgewater and Gale (Patricelli) McHugo and her husband Michael of Canton. He was the grandfather of Kimberly (Fandrich) Panos, Mark Fandrich, Melissa Patricelli, Michael and John McHugo and David Derochea. He was the great grandfather to Samuel Poch and Alana Lowney and Camden and Caidyn Panos. He also had a niece and several nephews.
Bob graduated from West Bridgewater High School and took many courses in engineering at Wentworth Institute and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was the founder of Nordgren- Fandrich Insurance Agency however his love of driving 18 wheelers put him behind the wheel driving for Shaws Supermarket for many years. His love of driving and adventure also put him behind the wheel of several motorhomes he owned traveling throughout the country with the best navigator his wife Mary.
He loved mapping out routes and saw most of the United States. He loved fast cars and NASCAR and got to drive a Richard Petty car at the Los Vegas Speedway and considered this one of his best adventures. His hobbies included, gardening, animals, antiques mostly antique tractors, going to country fairs, cooking on the grill and pranking every unsuspecting visitor to his home. He was an avid mechanic and could fix just about anything.
What he loved most was his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a friend to all and called "the dad of the neighborhood". He will be missed immensely by his family and all that knew him.
Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt.28) West Bridgewater on Thursday, January 14th from 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral will be private.

All visitors will be advised by Funeral Home Staff on what Building Entrance to Use.
All visitors will then follow SAFE DISTANCING MARKINGS that will guide to the Casket/Urn.
All visitors may pause at Casket/Urn and then EXIT the Funeral Home.
All visitors when returning to their cars will please exit the property to allow others to enter.
All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
