Robert C. Ottaviano, 90, of Brockton, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. He was the loving husband of the late Mary A. (Minerva) Ottaviano. Born July 20, 1928 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Domenic Ottaviano and Ethel (Marella) Ottaviano. A lifelong Brockton resident he attended Brockton Schools and Brockton High School class of 1946. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Robert was a Shoe Cutter and retired from Foot-Joy Shoe after many years of service. He enjoyed playing golf at D.W. Fields Golf Course, playing Bocce at the Brockton Bocce Club, walking at the mall, visiting with his friends at McDonalds on Saturdays and watching sports on TV. He most especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. He is survived by his daughter, Maria L. Ottaviano and her companion Mark Mazur; his son, Robert C. Ottaviano, Jr; his granddaughters, Natalie and Danielle; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the father-in-law of the late Richard Greco. Following cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Friday, October 5th from 11:30AM-1:30PM followed by a funeral service at 1:30PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in South Easton Cemetery.
