Obituary

Robert D. “Red” Anthony, Sr. age 78 of East Bridgewater formerly of Brockton and Quincy, died November 29, 2017 at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Lowell a son of the late Frederick and Esther (Uhlig) Anthony. Robert was raised in Quincy and had lived in East Bridgewater for over thirty years.

Robert was a self-employed aluminum siding installer in the local area. He will be remembered as a strong and stubborn man who would do anything for anyone in need.

Robert was the father of Barbara Johnson and her husband Bruce of Bridgewater, Robert Anthony Jr. and his wife Tina of East Bridgewater and the late Cathy Anthony. He was the grandfather of Danielle and Ashley Anthony and brother of Myrtis Austin of Arizona and the late Gladys Fisher and Fred, John, Thomas and Richard Anthony. Robert was also the former husband of Ruth Anthony.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Saturday December 16, 2017 from 10am-12pm followed by a Funeral Service at 12pm.
