Online Obituaries Robert F. Richards, Jr., 69, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. Born October 29, 1942 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Robert F. Richards and Edna (Susi) Richards. Robert graduated from Brockton High School in 1960 and then graduated from Bridgewater State College. He was the Suburban Editor for the Brockton Enterprise and also the Sports Information Director at Stonehill College for many years. Bob also taught Journalism at Stonehill College. While at Stonehill he was an Advisor to the Stonehill College Paper Summit. He was a longtime Advisor for the Cranberry Baseball League. He is survived by several cousins. Funeral Information Following cremation, a Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 17th in the Chapel of Mary on the Campus of Stonehill College, 320 Washington St., Easton at 11:00AM.
