Tynan, of Brockton, February 22, 2005, Robert J. “Tiny” Tynan, 66 years. Husband of the late Janet A. (Holmes) Tynan. Father of Karen Tantillo, Michelle Gendreau and Theresa Caprarella. Grandfather of Keith, Kevin, and Brandon Tantillo, and Stephanie and Kasey Gendreau. Brother of Edward Tynan.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 10am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-7pm.
Obituary Information
Robert J. “Tiny” Tynan died unexpectedly Tuesday at the Brockton Hospital. Born and raised in New Brunswick, NJ, son of the late Thomas and Marie (Leddy) Tynan. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in New Brunswick and after graduation enlisted in the United States Navy and served for six years during Vietnam. He had been employed as an electrician at Barcolene in Holbrook, Semline in Norwood and in 2004 retired from the Manley Street Post Office in Brockton after 14 years. Following his retirement from the post office he traveled cross country.
He was a former member of the Polish White Eagles.
He is survived by three daughters Karen Tantillo of Brockton, Michelle Gendreau of Bridgewater and Theresa Caprarella of Brockton, five grandchildren, Keith, Kevin, and Brandon Tantillo, and Stephanie and Kasey Gendreau and one brother Edward Tynan of Malden.
He was the husband of the late Janet A. (Holmes) Tynan
