Obituary

Williams, of West Bridgewater, September 10, 2003, Robert C. Williams, 75 years. Husband of the late Libby (Crimando) Williams. Father of Paula Edney and her husband Richard of Pittsfield, VT and Cathy Lynch of W. Bridgewater. Grandfather of Mark and Kerry Lynch and Caitlin Edney. Brother of Mary Dulong of Holbrook.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday at 8:30am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church at 9:30am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or Old Colony Hospice, 14 Page Terrace, Stoughton, MA 02072.

Obituary Information

Robert C. Williams died Wednesday at his home in West Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. He was born in Cambridge, son of the late Arthur J. and Mary C. (Fitzpatrick) Williams. He was raised in Melrose and was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School. He was a Korean War veteran, having served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force. After his discharge he was employed as a pipefitter in the Charlestown and Quincy Navel Shipyards. He had also worked in the plumbing shop at the South Weymouth Naval Air Station, where he retired as the Inspector of Public Works. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed football and flea markets.

He is survived by his two daughters Paula Edney of Pittsfield, VT and Cathy Lynch of West Bridgewater, three grandchildren, a sister Mary Dulong of Holbrook and several nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Libby (Crimando) Williams and brother of the late Richard Williams.
