Obituary

Roberta P. (Firing) Squires, age 76 of Brockton, died suddenly on Monday, April 10, 2023 at PAM Health Specialty Hospital in Stoughton.

Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late M. Crawford and Eleanor (Bosworth) Firing. She attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School. For many years, Roberta worked at the Chadwick Distribution Center in several locations.

In her free time, she enjoyed dining out with friends and family. She also loved her cruise vacations with her son, reading romance novels and knitting.

Roberta was the beloved mother of Scott Squires of Brockton and Jennifer Burden and her husband George of Lunenburg. She was the loving grandmother of Kaitlyn, Emma and Madison Burden. She was the sister of Constance Erickson and her husband Robert of Bridgewater and the late Robert Firing. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their extended families.

A memorial gathering will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton on Saturday April 22, 2023 from 2-3pm followed by a funeral service.
