Obituary

Roland F. Gonsalves, 53, of Brockton passed quietly Tuesday October 27, 2015 following a period of failing health. Roland is the son of Virginia (Dixon) Gonsalves of Brockton and the late Roland Lessard. He was born, raised and educated in Brockton. Roland had a passion for cooking both personally and professionally and had worked in his past for the Prudential Center in Boston and Stonehill College in food service. God was central in his life and he used his faith to help others especially the homeless and elderly. He is remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, love of nature and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his siblings; Albert, Michael, Tina and Cheryl Gonsalves all from Brockton and Brenda Gonsalves from Quincy. And his 11 nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Deborah Dixon Wilson.
Following cremation there will be a visitation only in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton Thursday November 5, 2015 from 4-6pm.
