Ronald J. Douillette, 77, of Brockton, MA, passed away after a brief illness at Good Samaritan Hospital on November 27, 2023.

Ron was born on January 6, 1946. He was a lifelong Brockton resident who graduated from Brockton High School in 1964. He loved sharing stories about his childhood and the city he grew up in.

Ron enjoyed sports and formed many cherished friendships playing local softball and basketball games. He spent his spare time umpiring local softball games and going to as many of his children's athletic events as he could. When he was younger, Ron loved to spend his time hunting and camping in New England, and he held a lifelong interest in government affairs. He also had special places in his heart for Elvis Presley, ancient Egypt, and the unexplained.

Ron is predeceased by his daughter, Dawn C. Douillette of Stoughton, MA; his brother Alan E. Douillette of Lakeville, MA; and his parents, Eugene F. and Linda R. (Guglia) Douillette of Brockton, MA. He leaves behind three children: Jesse A. Douillette of Concord, NH; Joanna L. (Douillette) Varvoutis of Bend, OR; and David J. Douillette of Wareham, MA. He is also survived by his two grandchildren.

Ron will be laid to rest alongside his daughter, Dawn, at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton on June 14, 2024. The family will notify loved ones when arrangements are finalized.
