Ronald P. Phelps
, 70, of Brockton, died Friday, November 2, 2007 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Carol (DiMeo) Phelps.
Born June 7, 1937 in Jackson, Michigan, he was the son of the late Clyde Phelps and Eva M. (Palmer) Phelps. Mr. Phelps was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Phelps was a retired Foreman where he worked at Standard Rubber Company in West Hanover. He also was a former Bus Driver for Dial-A-Bat in Brockton. He was an avid gardener and Patriots fan. He was a former member of the Mitchel Club and the Polish White Eagles Club.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (DiMeo) Phelps of Brockton; his children, Patricia Phelps of Carver, Gregory Phelps of Raynham, Kimberly Bater of North Carolina, Kathleen Smith of North Carolina, Karen Phelps of Brockton, and Toni Boyce-Novo of Fall River; his sisters and brother, Loretta Gadbury, Ruth Meserva, Louis Phelps, and Keith Phelps; he is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday morning, November 6th 9:30-11:00AM followed by a funeral prayer service at 11:00AM in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
