Online Obituaries Rosa Silva Santos Goncalves, 52, of Brockton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Brockton. Born December 13, 1963 in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the loving daughter of Pedro S. Goncalves and Carlota Barbosa. Rosa loved teaching, she was an educator in elementary school for 27 years in Cape Verde. She also enjoyed and especially loved spending time with her family. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchild, which she was extremely proud of. She is survived by her children, son, Marcos G. Araujo and her daughter Dilza G. Araujo; her grandchildren, Nilza Pereira, Marques Dosanjos, Neyanie Barbosa, Amayah Araujo, and soon to be born Cyon Leao; her brothers Casimiro Goncalves, Amadeu Goncalves, Madueno Goncalves, Nilton Goncalves; her sisters, Carmen Goncalves and Hirondina Goncalves. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and In Laws. Rosa was also the sister of the late Antonio Goncalves and Joao Pedro Goncalves. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Friday, July 1st at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Thursday in the Funeral Home from 4:00PM - 8:00PM.
