IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosa Linda
Hewlett
December 12, 1967 – November 16, 2023
Rosa Linda Hewlett (Colón), 55, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away in the comfort of her home on November 16, 2023. She was born on December 12, 1967, in Somerville, MA, to Luigina and Rafael Colón.
Rosa was known for her kind and caring nature. She had a quiet strength and a loving heart that touched the lives of those around her. Always thinking of others before herself, lending an ear or giving a shoulder to lean on. Rosa was strong and resilient no matter what she faced or endured.
Rosa loved being a cat mom, enjoyed cooking, binge watching Food Network, 80's hair bands and exploring new places travelling with her sister. She was drawn to sunflowers, roses, and butterflies. She found solace in quiet time at home to allow her to rest and heal.
Rosa will be deeply missed by her loved ones. She is survived by her husband, William, her sister Gina, her brother Ralph and many family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Luigina, and her father, Rafael.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 2-4 pm, at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home in Brockton, MA. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor Rosa's memory and share stories of her extraordinary life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Rosa's memory to the Standish Humane Society. Donations can be made online at www.standishhumane.org. This organization was important to Rosa as they helped her through the years to provide for her fur babies.
Rosa's family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Massachusetts General Hospital, South Shore Hospital and Old Colony Hospice for the exceptional care and guidance provided to Rosa. We are forever grateful to "Team Rosa" as she lovingly called them.
"Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life. And everyone deserves a little sunshine."- Jeffrey Glassberg
A memorial gathering will be held from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street Brockton on Wednesday November 29th from 2 to 4 p.m.
