Obituary

Rosalie T Reardon passed away December 12, 2024 with her sister and three nieces by her side at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

Rosalie, lovingly referred to as Rosie, was forever a child at heart, looking at the world in her child-like wonder and innocence.

Rosalie was the daughter of the late John and Eileen Reardon of Dorchester, later moving to Buzzards Bay, Plymouth. Rosalie is survived by her sister Marguerite Mooney and husband Walter, of Brockton; her brother Stephen Reardon and his wife Bonnie, of West Brookfield; and her brother Daniel Reardon of Holbrook. Rosalie is now reunited with so many of her late siblings, and we are sure there is a big Irish party going on up there to greet her: She joins her sisters and brothers: Mary Muise, E. Patricia Nunnally, John Reardon, Ann Reardon, Rev. Father Robert Reardon, OMI, Lt. Thomas Reardon BFD, Christine Reardon and James Reardon. Rosie was a fun loving Aunt to so many nieces and nephews and a great aunt.

Rosie attended the day program at Road to Responsibility, meeting many new friends and learning many new skills.

After attending Road to Responsibility for a few years, Rosie moved into the Grace Ryder Family Home Facility (under the umbrella of RTR) in Marshfield for many years. Rosie enjoyed decorating her room with her Angela Lansbury pictures, making room on her shelves for her many composition notebooks and many framed pictures of her large family, many of whom are no longer with us.

While visiting Rosie in the hospital this past week, we got to meet and hear from many of the kind, compassionate staff and caregivers who took care of Rosie at her group home. The laughs were plenty, the stories were full of life and the memories are forever. Rosie was very loved and will be missed by all of the staff and residents of the home.

Rosie was loved by everyone she met. She would meet you and within minutes she would know your birthday, how to spell your name and you would be labeled her new best friend. Rosie was comfortable in her tiaras and costume jewelry, always ready for a party. Rosie enjoyed watching game shows on tv and guessing along, especially to Wheel of Fortune. Her other favorites were Murder She Wrote and the Golden Girls.

When Rosie still lived at home some of her favorite things were walking around Ezekiel Pond visiting her many friends, playing bingo and going bowling.

Rosie will be missed by many, but our hearts are happy that she will finally be reunited with her parents and so many siblings. Also her favorite dog, Honey.
