Rose A. (O’Connor) Curtin, 75 years of Brockton died February 19, 2008. Wife of the late Anthony F. Curtin, Sr. She was born in Derry, Ireland, the daughter of the late Patrick and Isabelle (Nash) O’Connor. Mrs. Curtin was raised and educated in Holbrook, and earned a degree in Nursing from Curry College. She had been a registered nurse at Cardinal Cushing/Good Samaritan Medical Center for over 10 years and also had been the manager of Curtin’s Fuel for 10 years. Rose loved gardening, decorating, yard sales, cooking and raising her nine children. She was a long time communicant of St. Colman Church where she was a Eucharistic Minster.
She is survived by her children Anthony Curtin Jr. of Halifax; Nancy St. George of Pembroke; Linda Landis of Mountain Top, PA; Michael and David Curtin of Brockton; Paul Curtin of Holbrook and Maureen Petersen of Holbrook, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, a brother Patrick O’Connor of Boston, two sisters, Nancy Dupuis of Franklin and Karen Skidmore of Mansfield. She was the mother the late Patrick and Shaun M. Curtin and grandmother of the late Lindsay A. Curtin.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8am. Funeral mass in
Christ The King Parish/ St. Colman Church
at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Rose may be made to the Lindsay A. Curtin Memorial Scholarship Fund, 25 Faxon St., Brockton, MA 02301.
