Rose Marie Ferrante
Rose M. (Alfieri) Ferrante, 94, of Brockton died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Raymond Ferrante.
Born May 9, 1915, in Brockton she was the daughter of the late Domenic Alfieri and Filomina (Ferrara) Alfieri. She was raised and educated in Brockton. Rose managed the Smith Corset Shop in Brockton for over 15 years and then worked as a sales woman for the Lady Grace Shop.
She was a member of the Daughter's of Italy in Brockton. She was known as "Nana Rose" to all and she was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Raymond Ferrante of Sandwich, Philip Ferrante of Raynham, Michael Ferrante of Brockton, Kathleen Hill and her husband Robert of Lakeville, Lisa Almeida of Bridgewater and Jeana Ferrante of Brockton; her seven great grandchildren and her daughter in law, Janet L. Ferrante. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Philip Ferrante and the sister of the late Pasquale, John, Joseph, James and Frank Alfieri, Lucy Cifelli and Irene Tatti. She was also a very dear friend of the late Joseph J. Pica.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Monday, June 29th at 8:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Sunday 2:00-5:00PM.
