Rose M. (Umbrianna) Florio Rose Marie (Umbrianna) Florio, 88, of Brockton, died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at her home in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Theodore Florio. Born September 1, 1920 in Rockland, she was the daughter of the late Vincent J. Umbrianna and Josephine (LaCursi) Umbrianna. Mrs. Florio was devoted to her family and a devoted parishioner of Christ the King/St Colman Church in Brockton. She has been a Brockton resident for 70 years. She is survived by her children, Enrico Florio and his wife Jeanne of West Yarmouth, Theodore Florio and his wife Mary of Florida, Joanne Florio of Mansfield, Diane Paccia and her husband Robert of Bridgewater and David Florio of Brockton; her grandchildren, Lisa Joy of Brockton, Stephen Florio of Brockton, Don Florio of Cape Cod, Jason Florio of Cape Cod, Mark Florio of Mansfield, Khala Florio of Taunton, and Nicholas Florio of Taunton; her sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Ruble of Rockland, Pipie Patten of Abington, Angelo Umbrianna of Pembroke, Peter Umbrianna of Arizona, and Junior Umbrianna of Pennslyvania; she is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late James Florio and sister of the late Anna Delprete, Lena Pratt, Angelina Cerce, Dorothy Genest, and Mary Arentino. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, September 11th at 8:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM.
