IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rose Marie
(Germinario) Akstin
December 5, 1934 – March 13, 2023
Rose Marie Akstin, 88, of Brockton passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts.
Born December 5, 1934, in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Giannetti) Germinario.
At a young age, Rose worked in the family store, LaRosa Market on Cresent St in Brockton. She later attended cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser at Ginos of Italy in Brockton where she was known for the best beehives and perms.
Rose's most important job and proudest accomplishment was being a loving mother to her 3 children. Rose dedicated her life to her children and family. She was the life of the party, the definition of selfless and amazed us with her strength and determination. A kind soul who always helped others and was so generous. If you were in her presence you felt her sincerity and compassion. Everyone that had the privilege to spend time with her loved her wit and amazing sense of humor. You would leave her house with a full heart, full belly and a $2 bill.
She loved antiques, trips to the casino, family parties, cooking for everyone and celebrating life. Her ability to find the good in everyone and everything was special. She was patriotic, creative, one of a kind and described as a hot ticket! She was the best Nana to her grandchildren and gave them endless love, laughter and memories. Rose always looked at the Sunnyside of life and was rich with wisdom and love.
She is survived by her devoted children, Joe J. Akstin and wife Corrie of Buzzards Bay, Denise M. Goldsmith and husband Rick of South Easton and John W. Akstin Jr. and wife Victoria of Bridgewater; loving grandchildren, Danielle, Derrick, Jason and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Isabella, Kaylee, Payton and Niko; sister Josephine "Dolly" Ciffelli of Velencia, California and many nieces and nephews.
