Obituary

Rose Hejduk, 99 years, lifelong resident of Brockton, died January 4, 2009 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born in Brockton, daughter of the late Frank and Adela (Gunther) Hejduk, she was a 1928 graduate of Brockton High School. Rose had been employed for 45 years in the manufacturing division of the Singer Sewing Company in Needham as an executive secretary. During WWII she was a WAVE with the United States Navy and was stationed in Washington DC with the Bureau of Ships. Rose was the sister of Helen Swanson of Halifax, Frank Hejduk of Brockton and the late Ernest Hejduk. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held in Melrose Cemetery. Donations in Rose’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
