Rose M. (Tomaselli) Stella
, 94, long time resident of Weymouth and Brockton, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the beloved wife for seventy years of the late Lawrence C. Stella.
Born June 22, 1914 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Stefano Tomaselli and Maria (Germanario) Tomaselli.
Rose devoted her life to home and family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, reading, dancing, and swimming at Nantasket Beach. She attended Brockton High School and following that, went to work at George E. Keith Shoe Factory in Brockton. She married and raised her family in Weymouth and eventually moved back to Brockton, most recently residing at Emmanuel House Residence.
Rose is survived by two daughters, MaryAnn Killilea and her husband Alfred of Kingston, Rhode Island and Lorraine Luizzi and her husband Anthony of Brockton; four grandchildren, Joe Killilea, Michael Luizzi, Maria Luizzi Sullivan, and Anne Luizzi Heffernan. She was also "Nana" to the late Marianna Killilea. In addition, she leaves three great grandchildren, Jack and Briggs Killilea and Tommy Sullivan; two surviving sisters, Teresa Young of Hopedale and Carmella Lalli of Brockton; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven siblings: Ann, Vito, Joseph, Fawn, Gerald, and Geraldine Tomaselli, and Sabina Brugnoli.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, March 28th at 9:30AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Middle St., Weymouth. Calling hours are omitted.
