Online Obituaries Rose Anna (Harrison) Watson of Brockton, MA, affectionately known as Big Mommy to her grandchildren passed away peacefully at her home on August 16, 2017 at the age of 83. Born in Aberdeen, MS, to the late Booker T. McAllister and Sarah (Harrison) Neighbors and Lee Neighbors. She moved to Brockton in 1950 with her late husband Walter (BOBO) Lee Watson, Sr. Rose retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Brockton after 20 years of service. Rose enjoyed watching movies, reading, and scratching lottery tickets while listening to the blues. Rose leaves to cherish her memories her children, George Watson, Willie Watson, Robert (Raya) Watson, Darnell (Man) Watson all of Brockton, MA and her daughters Rose (Dennis) Black of Shreveport, LA, Brenda (David) Snipe, Aberdeen, MS, and Lena Betts of Weymouth, MA. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her siblings Sarah Ridgell, Janet Bradshaw, Dora Fernandes, Barbara Holland, and Annie Thomas. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends and will be sadly missed. She was also the Mother of the late Walter Lee Watson, Jr., Wayne Douglas Watson, and Denise (Lady) Jordan and the late great-great grandmother of Taliyana Ali Robles. Rose is preceded in death by her siblings tom Tagger, James Tagger, Jacob Tagger, Jordan Tagger, Eddie Tagger and her sister Edna Mae Simmons. Funeral Information Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Thursday, August 24th from 9:00-11:00AM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00AM.
