Obituary

Roy Bowden, age 77, of Randolph, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully at his home, January 22, 2017. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ella (Redmond) Bowden. For 30 years, he was employed as a Sole Cutter for Montello Heel Manufacturing, retiring in 2015. Roy was an avid Red Sox fan and also enjoyed Bingo and scratch tickets.

Roy was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was the twin brother of the late Raymond Bowden, and brother of the late Thomas and Frank Bowden, Estella Belbin, Eleanor Murch and Ellie Mae Driscoll.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 5-8pm. Burial will be held in Melrose Cemetery at a later date. Please consider donations in Roy’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 260 Cochituate Road, Ste 200, Framingham, MA 01701.
