Obituary

Roza “Rosie” Gomes, of Brockton, formerly of Roxbury died December 19, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Marcelino Gomes of Boston, formerly of Brava, Cape Verde and the late Priscilla (Senna) Harris formerly of Marshfield. She was formerly married to the late Burleigh Beckles of Boston and mother of the late Anthony Beckles and Lawrence “Bruce” Beckles of Boston.

She is survived by her sisters Delfina Gomes of Brockton and Marlene Gomes of Chandler, AZ; grandmother of Traneece Reshea Freeman of Boston and aunt of Stephen Pereira and Guy McIlvaine of Brockton, Donna Pierre of E. Milton, Ronald McIlvaine of Marietta, CA and Deidre McIlvaine of Chandler, AZ; great grandmother of Idyean.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday 1-3pm with a Funeral Service at 3pm.
