Obituary

Russell H. Allen 63 years of Hollywood, Florida formerly of Brockton died Tuesday April 1, 2008 at his home. He was the devoted husband of Patricia A. (Pelland) Allen. Russ was born in Weymouth and raised in Brockton a son of the late Howard and Betty (Pierce) Allen and was a graduate of Brockton High School. Two years ago he retired to Hollywood, Florida. For over 25 years Russ had been a machine operator for Chase & Son Manufacturing in Randolph.
Russ loved the Boston Red Sox, visiting flea markets and browsing yard sales. He was very sociable and enjoyed visiting family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Deborah Shea and her husband Dennis of Pennsylvania and two granddaughters Robin Marie and Jessie LeeAnn Allen. He was the brother of Priscilla Sisson of Taunton; Cheryl Corey of Marshfield; Linda Kenney of Wareham and Steven Allen of Brockton; the step-brother of Robert Torres and brother-in-law of Eddie and Christine “Chris” Pelland. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and was the step-son of the late Elsie Allen. He was the longtime friend of Marjorie McDonald of Hollywood, FL and nephew of Virginia Capparelli.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 11:30 am followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 pm.
